Escape to Asheville, LLC is a Wyoming limited liability company with a focused commitment to Asheville, North Carolina and the greater Western North Carolina region.
And like the area itself, the EscapeToAsheville.LLC website is under construction and growth. Please visit frequently to be continually informed.
Our work begins with a simple truth: Asheville is an extraordinary place to visit, and while a dream to reside in, it’s an increasingly difficult place to live.
For generations, tourism has helped sustain Asheville’s restaurants, artists, small businesses, music venues, breweries, outdoor guides, historic attractions, and hospitality workers. People come here for the mountains, the food, the creativity, the history, and the feeling that Asheville offers something both vibrant and restorative. Asheville is often described as the heartbeat of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and that description fits. It is a place people remember. It is a place to which people return.
But Asheville also faces a serious housing challenge. The same desirability that makes the city a beloved destination has placed pressure on housing affordability and availability. Hurricane Helene made those pressures even more visible, worsening existing housing problems and intensifying the need to repair, replace, and add homes across the region. Buncombe County’s recovery planning has identified safe, affordable housing as a key part of community well-being and long-term recovery. (Engage Buncombe County)
Escape to Asheville, LLC was created to work within that tension rather than ignore it.
Our goal is to establish new and renewed dwellings in Asheville, North Carolina with a dual focus: thoughtful multi-dwelling housing and highly affordable short-term vacation rentals. We believe Asheville can welcome visitors without abandoning residents. We believe tourism can support local life rather than displace it. And we believe responsible lodging should be part of a healthier housing ecosystem, not a burden on it.
Our Purpose
Escape to Asheville exists to create places that serve both guests and the community while engaging in lawful, responsible development and strategic business.
For visitors, that means comfortable, accessible, affordable places to stay while they experience the mountains, food, art, history, and neighborhoods that make Asheville unforgettable.
For the city, it means investing in dwellings with care: renewing neglected spaces, increasing practical housing capacity where possible, and approaching short-term rental use with attention to affordability, neighborhood character, and long-term community impact.
We seek to return and add value from Asheville, not extract it. We are interested in participating in its renewal.
Why Asheville, Why Now
Western North Carolina has endured a difficult stretch.
COVID-19 tested the region’s small businesses, tourism economy, healthcare workers, families, schools, artists, and service workers. Hurricane Helene brought devastating physical, economic, and emotional damage to communities across the mountains, with businesses and residents still navigating recovery well into 2025 and beyond. At the same time, modern political struggles have made the question of community more urgent. Across the country, cities are asking who gets to belong, who gets priced out, who gets welcomed, and who gets protected when hardship arrives.
For Escape to Asheville, LLC, those are not abstract questions.
They are the moral core of the company.
We believe a place as beautiful as Asheville should remain livable for the people who sustain it. We believe visitors should be invited into the region with respect, gratitude, and honesty. We believe housing should NOT be treated as an asset for the professional managerial class and is an essential right and part of the civic fabric. Our goal is to seek to level that playing field while performing with a profit motive as required by all US LLCs.
Recovery requires imagination, investment, and responsibility.
Our Vision
Escape to Asheville, LLC seeks to help build a more balanced version of hospitality in Western North Carolina.
That means creating lodging that is affordable enough for real families, traveling workers, and budget-conscious visitors. To this end, Escape to Asheville, LLC will support multi-dwelling development that adds needed capacity. It will treat Asheville as a living community with history, strain, resilience, and promise.
Asheville does not need tourism that forgets the people who live here. It flourishes with tourism that celebrates and centers them.
Escape to Asheville, LLC was formed with that belief at its center: to help guests experience the beauty of Asheville while helping the region move toward a more durable, humane, and welcoming future.
